Pilates ITC is excited to announce boutique Pilates provider, M.I.A Studios is joining the fold as NSW’s primary Instructor Training Studio (ITS) for Group Reformer. Located in the heart of Paddington, M.I.A is independently owned and run by locals and Pilates ITC Alum, Robin and Kamilla Tate who have created a chic, spacious and community-forward Studio environment and Reformer Group Classes that keeps the locals coming back for more. (And destined to be adored by Students!)
With M.I.A alongside/co-hosting with Sense of Power Pilates, we are going into the end of 2020 with mighty strong training representation in New South Wales!
Our ITS are the heart of the learning experience: it’s the “Pilates Campus” and where Students fall in love with “the work”, so it is essential that these Studios are equipped: operationally and culturally, to create space for Students to experience the power of the Method.
The addition of M.I.A to the ITS network was a practical and strategic decision made in response to market demand for high-quality, accredited Group Reformer Instructor training. It was also about giving our NSW Students more from this part of their course work. More space to get into the nitty gritty of learning this apparatus in a group setting!
M.I.A and their team checks all the boxes. Space. Quality. Culture. NSW Students will be able to get to know them as their dedicated location for Reformer Repertoire Course Delivery from July 2020.

These Studios are essential to our ability to provide accessible, high-quality, enriching in-person learning experiences across the country, and we are really excited to see this network grow and benefit our Students.
A little more on M.I.A

ITS are considered and selected by Directors Frances Cahill and Suzanne Newby, and must perform against criterion including but not limited to: highest quality of facilities and apparatus, staff qualification, safety record and commitment, membership of the industry body (PAA), demonstrated commitment to Continuing Education (CE), and operational considerations such as: the ability to service the necessary time, supervision and administrative requirements of hosting our Students. Of course, all of our ITS believe in and share our vision for elevating the standard of Pilates Education in Australia.
