LEARNING IN ACTION.
Becoming a Pilates Instructor requires a practical and personal engagement with the subject matter by watching and learning, practicing teaching, and feeling “the work” in your own body (also known as Self-Mastery).
All Students’ Work Placement (WP) requirement is supported by a network of Work Placement Studios (WPS) to ensure equity of access to high-quality learning environments.
Students can choose to attend any of our Work Placement Studios to complete the following course requirements:
Observation.
Watch group Matwork, group Reformer and Studio sessions.
Teaching.
Practice teaching with family, friends and other Students.
Co-Instruction.
“Shadowing” Instructors in group Matwork, group Reformer and Studio sessions.
Self-Mastery.
Your own Pilates practice: one class per week, minimum. This can be completed anywhere, not just at Work Placement Studios.
Learn from the best.
When you visit with Pilates ITC Work Placement Studios you have quality assurance. These Studios have been selected by Directors, Frances Cahill and Suzanne Newby because of their quality facilities and apparatus, staff qualification, safety record, and commitment to industry best practice.
